Aquaman 2 - Turtle Wrestler

Turtle Cage Fighter design that I created for the film ‘Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom,’ guided by James Wan’s notes.

Working closely with director James Wan was a great experience, and he influenced many designs. For this character, he was looking for a brutish and robust turtle cage fighter, adorned with scars and deep cracks in the shell. The design had to be mean and scary looking, but the tone was fun.

Because James likes to finished 3D designs, I had the opportunity to invest more time to creating complete 3D models. I started with a 2D drawing and proceeded with modeling and texturing the character in 3D.
